This clamp is suitable for various push / pull clamping tasks including soldering, assembly & testing operations and gluing parts. The clamp's round plunger securely holds the workpiece in position for preventing slippage mid operation. Destaco straight line action clamp's handle can also be easily adjusted, which allows it to rotate and in turn fall below the mounting plane, thereby locking it in the retracted position. The clamp's hex head stainless steel spindle can be easily adjusted for accommodating workpieces of varying sizes. This clamp features stainless steel construction that delivers high impact strength. Destaco straight line clamp come with a flanged style base for ease of installation on flat surfaces / workbenches. The clamp can also be mounted sideways depending upon the application requirement. A. Destaco straight line action clamps are manually operated push / pull style clamps that are used for various applications including welding, woodworking, tensioning devices and for assembly & testing operations.
A. Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to a workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is normally less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors, including cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
A. The holding capacity or the holding force depicts the clamp's capability to hold down the equipment or sheet metal on the assembly line or during similar manufacturing processes.
A. For ensuring smooth operation & durability of mechanical clamps, it is recommended to use a coupling grease like Mobil XTC.
A. The red coloured handles on Destaco clamps just denote a recognisable area. This is done to alert the worker / operator where the operating handle is and where he should grab it. Its colour has no additional significance to the working of the clamp.
