Straight line action clampsare ideal for holding objects or workpieces securely by moving the clamp plungers along their axis using straight line toggle or push / pull clamping action. These clamps can be locked in both extended and retracted positions for use as both pull and push clamps. These clamps are suitable for use in fixturing, CNC machining, soldering, testing, glueing & also, plastic injection moulding applications in the automotive, aerospace and food packaging industries. Destaco 6001 Series clamps are the heavy-duty variants of Destaco 601 Series clamps, having 50% more holding capacity than the 601 Series clamps. They feature handles to push or pull their round sliding plungers for holding workpieces, thereby locking the plungers in retracted position when the handle falls below the mounting plane. These clamps feature a flanged base, like the 601 Series clamps, for easy mounting. This Destaco 6001-M straight line action clamp has metric internal threadings for quick fastening of the plunger. Also, It is constructed of steel, providing strength, durability and protection for abrasion related wear & tear.Raptor Supplies also offers manual clamps having similar specifications in stainless steel construction for corrosion resistance along with an imperial external threaded plunger for a safe clamping operation.
A. Raptor Supplies offers these manual clamps with #8-32 (imperial) internal thread (Destaco 6001 straight line action clamp) for secure holding of workpieces and in stainless steel construction (601-MSS) for corrosion resistance. For more variants related to Destaco 6001-M clamp, refer to Destaco 6001 Series Clamps page on our website.
A. The term "holding capacity" or the holding force shows the capability of the clamp to hold down an equipment, workpiece or a sheet metal on the assembly line. It also denotes the maximum external force that a clamp in a locked position can resist safely without getting deformed permanently.
A. Yes, Destaco can supply manual clamps in a wide range of coloured handles according to customer requirements. Destaco also offers special grips without Destaco logo upon request.
A. The red coloured handles alerts the operator where the operating handle is located and where and when should he grab it.
A. Most of the Destaco clamps feature grips that can be easily removed by sliding them off. But some of the handle grips undergo vinyl dipping to fit the underlying handle and hence, have to be cut off for removing them.
A. All of the Destaco carbon steel clamps are zinc plated to resist wear & tear due to harsh industrial environments and provide rust resistance. Destaco also supplies stainless steel clamps for outdoor applications requiring clamping operation.
A. A straight line action clamp is manually operated using a lever or handle for pushing a clamp plunger against the workpiece and holding it securely. The handle is generally rotated upwards or downwards for pushing or pulling the clamp plunger.
A. No, Destaco clamps are load-rated only for clamping applications. They are not designed for use in lifting or hoisting applications.
