Destaco 861 pneumatic power clamp is used for positioning & holding products securely in place to ensure error-free operation. It is designed for a variety of high production applications including CNC machining, welding, fixturing and testing in the aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries. This clamp is designed with precision and is specifically intended for harsh welding environments that demand superior clamping power. The power clamp is equipped with an arm on centre, offering 90 degree clamping arm position. It has a 2 inch pneumatic cylinder bore with an input port of G-1/8 size for connecting to a source of compressed air and can deliver a maximum clamping torque of 89 lb at 72 psi pressure. The unit is supplied with switches and a magnetic ring for position sensing. Destaco pneumatic power clamp is equipped with a patented Toggle Lock Plus mechanism for locking clamp in the fixed position if a sudden pressure drop or hose disconnection is detected and is capable of handling a maximum load of 280 lb at temperatures ranging from -14 to 195 degrees Fahrenheit. Destaco 861 pneumatic power clamp accommodates a seal kit, replacement cylinder and sensor for the unobstructed functioning of the clamp.
Destaco pneumatic power clamp (861) offers a wide combination of features, making it adaptable to high production applications such as CNC machining, welding, fixturing and testing operations in the aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries.
Destaco 861 pneumatic power clamp conforms to international standards like ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 9001:2015 for ensuring environmental health & safety and quality performance of the clamp.
A. The most important consideration is the size of the component that you're clamping, the amount of space available in the production process and what kind of access you need to have around the clamp. If you are clamping a very small component and you need to hold it close to the clamp, clearly a smaller clamp will be required. Secondly, one needs to consider the distance between the pivot point and the length of the clamp arm and the weight of the tooling. In addition, the user must also consider the amount of clamp force or the holding force you need the clamp to apply.
A. Destaco power clamps are specially designed for use in automated manufacturing processes where the requirement is to accurately clamp components repeatedly, quickly and accurately. They are ideal for applications where there is limited or no access to manually activate the clamp either because of space limitation (manual access isn't possible) or because the clamp is located remotely.
A. By checking the specifications, you can ascertain the toggle clamp capacity, so it is a firm yes. The product specifications from the manufacturer consist of enough information about the throat depth and jaw opening. You can also ask our dedicated procurement team for an accurate guide.
