Altronix NetWay1DWPH midspan injector is designed for providing power & ethernet connection to PoE compliant connected devices (cameras / edge devices) in offices, research facilities and manufacturing plants. This midspan injector can power connected cameras / devices up to 100 metres from the unit. Additionally, a repeater module can be connected to this midspan injector to further extend the distance of power & data transmission by an additional 100 metres in large scale industrial & research facilities. Altronix NetWay1DWPH midspan injector features a single port for connecting multiple devices (cameras / edge devices) over ethernet at 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps speed. It features built in short circuit protection for enabling automatic detection & protection of non-PoE edge devices / cameras. Altronix midspan PoE injector's plug & play installation ensures quick set up and port status indicating LEDs provide real time connection status monitoring. It features a built in manual reset & master power disconnect circuit breaker for ensuring device safety. Altronix midspan injector features a NEMA 4 / 4X, IP66-11 rated enclosure that can be wall or pole mounted to ensure quick & secure installation on open style racks. This midspan injector operates at realtive humidity of 85% (+/- 5%) and at altitudes ranging between - 304.8 & 609.6 m. It is capable of being operated at temperatures ranging from - 30 to 70 degrees C at 30W and - 30 to 55 degrees C at 60W, respectively.

• Altronix PMK1: This outdoor pole mount kit is designed for simplifying overall installation of Altronix WP1, WP3 and WP4 NEMA rated enclosures. This kit can be mounted to any 2 to 8 inch (diameter) poles or 5 inch square poles. It includes two powder coated steel mount brackets, four stainless steel bolts, four stainless steel lock washers and two wormgear quick release straps.

Installation:

• Remove the circuit board from the enclosure prior to drilling NetWay1DWPH and mark & drill desired inlets on the enclosure to facilitate wiring.
• Clean out the inside of the enclosure before remounting the circuit board.
• Switch circuit breaker to the OFF position.
• Connect AC power from a UL listed circuit breaker to the terminals marked andconnect ground to the terminal marked.
• Mark and drill holes to line up with the top and bottom holes of the enclosure flange.
• Mount circuit board in the enclosure with hardware.
• Connect structured cable from UL listed video server or ethernet switch toRJ45 jack marked [IN] on NetWay1DWPH.
• Connect structured cable from camera / device to RJ45 jack marked [OUT] on NetWay1DWP.
• Switch circuit breaker to the ON position.

Q. How does PoE midspan injector work?

A. Using PoE injectors, the user transmits data and power through the ethernet cable between the injector & the IP camera, at the same time. The data gets transmitted from the switch into the injector, thereby feeding it to the IP camera through the ethernet cable.

Q. What is the difference between a splitter & a midspan injector?

A. The difference lies in the fact that the PoE injector supplies power to the PoE equipment that receives information / data from existing non-PoE switches, whereas a splitter splits the power from the data & feeds it to a separate input of a non-PoE compliant device.
