REED Instruments R2005-NIST infrared thermometer measures temperatures up to 2498 degrees F in food preparation, safety & fire inspection, plastic moulding, screen printing and HVAC maintenance. It has an audible alarm to alert the user about high / low temperatures. This thermometer unit has a 1.6-inch backlight LCD for easy observation.

Working Mechanism:

• Hold this thermometer by the handle grip and point it towards the target.
• Pull and hold the trigger to turn on the meter to begin testing.
• SCAN icon on the upper left corner of the LCD confirms that the unit is measuring the temperature.
• After releasing the trigger, the HOLD icon appears on the LCD, indicating that the reading is being held.
