Product Details:

Miller Electric 907614 MIG welder is ideal for welding material from 24-gauge to 3/8 inch thickness. It uses a consumable wire electrode and a shielding gas to create an arc between the electrode and the workpiece, melting the electrode and creating a weld. This welder is used in shipbuilding, construction, manufacturing, oil, structural welding, mining and steel fabrication.

Working Mechanism:

  • Ensure the work area is clean, well-ventilated and free from any flammable materials.
  • Set the voltage, wire feed speed and shielding gas flow rate according to the material thickness and type of wire being used.
  • Switch on the MIG welder and allow it to warm up for a few minutes.
  • Clean the surface of the material to be welded to remove any dirt, rust or contaminants.
  • Hold the MIG gun at a slight angle to the workpiece, with the tip of the welding wire positioned near the joint to be welded.
  • Pull the trigger on the MIG gun to start the welding process. Keep the gun steady and move it along the joint at a consistent speed to create a uniform weld bead.
  • Adjust the angle and distance of the MIG gun to control the size and shape of the weld pool.
  • Watch for proper penetration and fusion of the metal as you weld, adjusting the settings as needed.
  • Once the weld is complete, release the trigger on the MIG gun and allow the weld to cool before handling or further processing.

Features:

  • It features an angled cast-aluminium drive system with a calibrated tension knob, ensuring consistent feeding and easy setup for MIG guns up to 15 feet in length.
  • This welder provides a smooth spatter-free start for quick and easy starting.
  • Its quick select drive roll simplifies setup with three grooves for different wire sizes and flux-cored wire.

Compatible Accessories:

  • Miller Electric 300371 Spool Gun: It allows the feeding of electrode wire directly from a spool mounted on the guns. This gun eliminates the requirement for a separate wire feeder in the welding setup and minimises wire-feeding issues encountered when welding with aluminium electrode wire.
  • Miller Electric 301239 Running Gear/cart: This cylinder rack cart is designed to securely hold compatible gas cylinders and welding equipment. It allows for easy transportation around a shop or job site.
  • Miller Electric 248282 Welding Gun: It utilises ambient air and shielding gas for cooling during welding operations. This gun is equipped to hold consumable electrode wire and is connected to a MIG welder to supply current to the wire.
