GREENLEE 1818 Mechanical Conduit Bender, 3/4 To 2 Inch EMT Conduit Size

Greenlee 1818 bender is a manually powered unit used for bending galvanised steel or aluminium conduits, pipes and IMCs (intermediate metallic conduits) having sizes of 1-1/4, 1-1/2, 3/4-2 and 2 inches.

Working Mechanism:

• Rotate the ratchet segment counterclockwise. The friction button should pop out to prevent rotation of the segment in the bend direction.
• Select the type of conduit (marked on the shoe) and bending shoe size.
• Locate the bending shoe on the pivot shaft for aligning the drive pin on the segment with the hole in the shoe.
• Snap spring clips on pivot shafts.
• On the roller pin, mount the cushion roller and insert it into the proper hole.
• Install the conduit in the bender on the align & shoe bending marks, with the front edge of the hook.
• Lower the ratchet handle to the horizontal position and rotate the bend control handle to the bend position.
• Ratchet the bending shoe to the desired angle and rotate the ratchet handle to the Up position. Doing this will automatically move the bend control handle to the release position.
• By rotating the ratchet handle down to the bending position, apply bend pressure till the lock pawl releases.
• Once a click occurs, rotate the ratchet handle to the Up position.
• The segment and shoe must be rotated for removing the bent conduit.
