Gast 3HBB-251-M322 rugged piston air compressor is used with beverage dispensers, braking & suspension systems, tanks, ponds and sewage aerators. It is a positive displacement compressor that employs a crankshaft-driven piston and cylinder to compress the air.

Working Mechanism:

• In a piston compressor with two stainless steel valve discs and a valve system, the piston travels downward and pulls air into the cylinder.
• In order to fold downward and let the air through, the biggest disc bends.
• The air then enters the cylinder through the intake valves.
• At this point, the discharge valves are shut off.
• The biggest disc bends once again to seal against the valve seat as the piston rises.
