Product Details:

DeVilbiss JGA-660 high volume low pressure (HVLP) spray gun suction is designed to aerosolise and propel paints, stains, varnishes & lacquers onto surfaces using a high air volume at low pressures. It is a pistol-type paint spray unit that works with HVLP paint spray systems suitable for painting furniture & cabinets in fabrication & painting applications.

Working Mechanism:

  • They atomize a liquid into a predetermined pattern using compressed air that is released via a nozzle.
  • The spray nozzle works by impinging highly turbulent air at high speed onto liquid filaments or films, forcing them to collapse into a variety of sized droplets.

Features:

  • DeVilbiss JGA-660 HVLP spray gun features a siphon for fast and area-focused delivery of spray paint.
  • It provides a very low to medium paint viscosity range with a 2.2 mm nozzle size.
  • This unit comes with one gravity cup and a 1.8 mm fluid tip that enables flow up to 8 oz per minute.
  • It is made of stainless steel for tough applications, corrosion resistance and protection from harsh self-etching primers.

Compatible Accessories:

  • DeVilbiss JGA-4046-22, JGA-402-DEX and KK-4987-2: These spray gun fluid nozzles (JGA-4046-22) and spray gun needles (JGA-402-DEX) are designed to replace worn out parts of the JGA-660 HVLP spray guns and spray gun repair kits (KK-4987-2) are further required for their maintenance.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. How to install an air gun to the feed cups?

A.

  • Connect the air supply line to the air inlet.
  • The air will be filtered and controlled by an air transformer that is placed near the cannon.
  • Connect the fluid hose or suction feed cup to the material inlet.
  • Mix, prepare and strain the material to be sprayed.
  • Fill the pressure or suction feed cup with the material. Make sure not to overfill it.
  • At the supply point, start the gun air. Adapt the air pressure used for atomisation.
  • Activate the pressure cup's supply air valve if one is present.
  • Turn the valve stem counter-clockwise to open the spreader adjustment valve.
  • Open the fluid needle adjusting screw by turning counter-clockwise.
  • Then, spray a test area.

Q. How to maintain the spray gun system?

A.

  • Use a firm bristle brush to clean the outside of the air cap and fluid tip.
  • Use a toothpick or broom straw to clean the holes in the caps if necessary.
  • Never utilise a hard or wired object as it might scrape or create burr holes, distorting the spray pattern.
  • Remove excess material at the source, then flush with an appropriate solvent to clean fluid passageways.
  • Clean the outside of the pistol using a cloth dipped in solvent.
  • Never entirely submerge in solvent since it can damage lubricants and packings.

Q. Do spray guns require lubrication?

A. Yes, at the trigger bearing stud and the air valve stem where they enter the air valve assembly, add a drop of spray gun lubricant every day. Oil should also be applied to the fluid needle's shank where it enters the packing nut. Other than these, trigger points, adjusting knobs, baffle threads and air valve cartridges need to be lubricated as well.
