Destaco 462-2 squeeze action plier clamp is a portable machine clamp that is designed for workholding applications where fasteners or permanently mounted clamps are unnecessary. This clamp features an ergonomic handle that opens & closes the jaws and two threaded, adjustable spindles that adjust the clamping height to fit the workpiece. It comes with a two way trigger release that allows fas & easy opening of the clamp and is suitable for attachment by welding the front or the top of the base to a container or a cover. The clamp has an ergonomic grip and can handle loads up to 700 lb. It is designed for harsh environments and for parting line clamping of rotational molds. This squeeze plier clamp comes with corrosion-resistant stainless steel rivets and molded grips to ensure utmost safety. Destaco 462-2 squeeze action plier clamp is supplied with an M10 swivel foot spindle to ensure vibration dampening & stability. The clamp is machined to tight tolerances for applications that demand high precision clamping for workpiece manufacturing and repairing tasks.

A. Destaco squeeze action plier clamps are manually operated squeeze style clamps that are used for various applications including plastic injection moulding, welding & assembly. They are ideal for the automotive, aerospace and food & packaging industries.
A. Clamping force is the amount of force actually applied to a workpiece by closing & locking the clamp. It is ordinarily less than the stated holding capacity. The actual clamping force depends on various factors, including cylinder bore, cylinder area, spindle position (clamping arm length) and available air pressure. In most cases, the clamping force is approximately 2 to 3 times the force exerted by a pneumatic cylinder.
A. Unlike pneumatic straight line action clamps, regular manual clamps from Destaco feature separate handles for engaging the plunger to hold the workpiece in place.
