Vertical hold down clampsfeature a straight handle that is oriented perpendicularly to the base (when in locked position) and is used for pushing the clamping arm & the attached spindle against workpieces. They are used to frequently clamp / detach workpieces throughout the operations. Destaco 2002 Seriesclamps have steel construction with hardened bushings at key pivot points for structural strength & durability. They have a long handle with large hand clearance and near vertical clamping contact for enhanced user safety & secure clamping. These clamps provide a maximum load holding capacity of 600 lb. Destaco 2002-UR207 clamp has a bolt / mounting pattern that is interchangeable with Destaco 207 Series vertical hold down clamps. It is equipped with a U clamping arm for attaching an adjustable spindle assembly along the clamping bar length. This clamp has flanged base mounting style for easy installation on a flat surface / workpiece. It comes with Toggle Lock Plus feature for secondary locking the clamp that prevent its accidental opening during the operation. Raptor Supplies delivers this manual clamp in variants having a solid clamping bar for fixing a spindle at a fixed location; a bolt pattern interchangeable with 202 Series clamps. We also offer a similar clamp without Toggle Lock Plus mechanism to reduce operating costs where secondary locking of the clamp is not required.
Destaco 2002-UR207 vertical hold down clamp is suitable for aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries to perform applications, such as closure, welding, woodworking, assembling and fixture checking.
A. Raptor Supplies offers this manual clamp in variants having solid bar style (Destaco 2002-SR207) for fixed spindle positioning and a bolt pattern interchangeable with 202 Series clamps (Destaco 2002-UR). We also deliver a similar clamp (Destaco 2002-U207) without Toggle Lock Plus mechanism for use in operations where secondary locking of the clamp is not required.
A. Vertical hold down clamps are manually operated using a vertical handle / lever to move the clamping arm. This handle movement pushes the clamping arm or the attached spindle against the workpiece and prevents it from moving mid-operation, thereby ensuring secure clamping.
A. The difference between a vertical & horizontal toggle clamp lies in the locking position of the clamp handle. A vertical clamp handle is vertically oriented or perpendicular to the base when in locked position, whereas the horizontal toggle clamp is horizontally oriented or parallel to the base.
A. Many of the Destaco manual clamps come with the Toggle Lock Plus feature to act as a secondary locking mechanism and ensure the over-centre toggle lock condition of the clamps. This mechanism is essential when fixtures of the clamp are in motion, in a vibratory environment or are inverted. It offers an extra level of safety for the user and the workpiece.
A. Clamping force or exerting force refers to the actual force that the clamp exerts onto the workpiece for holding it. The holding force or capacity provides a measure of ideal strength of the clamp, measured during the manufacturing process. The clamping force is generally lesser than the holding capacity, depending upon several factors like position of spindles in clamping bars and opposing force applied on the clamp.
