AC / DC TIG Welders

Lincoln Electric TIG welders are designed for welding metal surfaces in maintenance, fabrication, automotive and piping applications. These tungsten inert gas (TIG) welders use a non-consumable tungsten electrode producing an arc on the workpiece and an adjustable AC Auto Balance facility which increases or decreases the cleaning action, as per the requirement. They also help enable the TIG pulser to minimise material distortions caused by excessive heat output. Choose from an extensive range of these gas tungsten arc welding units available in 208 and 230 V input voltage ratings on Raptor Supplies.

Working Mechanism

  • A non-consumable tungsten electrode is used to apply the welding arc with the current.
  • An inert gas is used to shield and cool the tungsten and weld puddle.

Features

  • Lincoln Electric AC / DC TIG welders provide AC Auto-Balance adjustment for regulating the penetration and cleaning operation while welding aluminium.
  • They feature Micro-Start II Technology for increased arc stability, allowing accurate welding & crater fill.
  • These gas tungsten arc welders come with TIG pulser controllers for enhanced regulation of heat input to enable better control for heat input, resulting in reduced distortion and warping on metal sheets.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between TIG and MIG welding?

  • TIG welding is more robust and provides higher quality as compared to MIG welding.
  • When two pieces of metal are fused, TIG is performed without filler metal, whereas MIG uses feed wire for welding.

What is the amperage rating of these gas tungsten arc welders?

2 to 420
