These motors have a rigid base for installation using nuts & bolts. They have a keyed shaft design for connecting to the load. The motor's shaft is aligned to the keyway on the workpiece. Once aligned, a key is inserted into the keyed shaft / keyseat of the motor. This key connects & binds the motor's shaft to the load.
