Working Mechanism

  • These switches consist of a fusible element, which is designed to meltand interrupt the current flow in the event of an overcurrent condition.
  • When the switch is in the closed position, the electrical current flows through the switch and the fusible element.
  • If the current exceeds the rating of the fusible element, it melts and interrupts the current flow, thereby disconnecting the load from the power source.
