Working Mechanism

  • When the current flowing through the circuit exceeds the rated level, these circuit breakers interrupt the flow of electricity to the circuit, protecting the equipment from detecting a fault.
  • They can be reset by switching the handle to Off & On positions once the fault is resolved.

Features

  • They have a moulded case construction, which provides durability and protection against mechanical damage.
  • These J-frame complete MCCBs have a sliding handle with ON & OFF positions for easy identification of the breaker's status.
  • They are equipped with a 3-pole configuration for controlling multiple connections simultaneously.
  • These MCCBs are available in current ratings ranging from 63 to 250A.
  • Selected models have a built-in test kit for electronic field testing and a push-to-trip button to check the tripping function during scheduled maintenance.

Standards and Approvals

  • UL
  • CSA
  • CE
  • KEMA
  • KEUR
  • IEC

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between MCCBs and MCBs?

  • MCBs protect items from current overloads while MCCBs protect equipment from fault currents & excess temperature rise.
  • The tripping circuit of MCBs is fixed while MCCBs have a movable tripping circuit.
  • MCBs have comparatively low interrupting ratings than MCCBs.

How to install a circuit breaker?

  • Remove the panel cover. Use a screwdriver to unscrew all four edges of the panel cover while holding it tight to prevent it from slipping off.
  • Connect the neutral and ground wires.
  • Place the breaker inside.
  • Screw the panel cover back.

What are the reasons for frequent tripping of the circuit breaker?

A circuit overload, short-circuiting, ground fault surges, defective circuit breaker or an arc fault can cause tripping of the circuit breaker.
