650 Series Straight Line Action Clamps

Destaco 650 Series straight line action clamps are designed for heavy duty push / pull clamping and employ clamping force from the side rather than the top, to secure workpieces in applications where space is confined. They come with a lever handle that engages the plunger to press against a workpiece & hold it in place, during operations such as welding, tensioning devices, fixturing, testing, CNC machining, plastic injection molding, assembling, staking and light pressworking of industrial equipment. In addition to locking in the extended position, these clamps also allow the handle to rotate and fall below the mounting plane to lock in the retracted position. These units offer high loading capacities & stroke lengths in comparison to other Destaco straight line action clamps (a maximum holding capacity of 16000 lb and long stroke with 3 inch plunger travel). They feature forged steel base & handles to ensure high impact strength, ideal for heavy duty applications in the aerospace, automotive and food & packaging industries. All models feature a flanged base with threaded holes that help in mounting the clamps to a worktable or flat surface. These Destaco clamps have steel construction to resist corrosion on the outer surfaces and attached round plungers (with 5/8-11 sized threads) for quick & secure fastening. 650 Series Destaco clamps are compatible with hex head spindles (250203 or 250203-M) for providing high performance workholding, automation and containment solutions, as well as maximum clamping force. These clamps are available in imperial and metric variants on Raptor Supplies.
We also offer Destaco 610 Series straight line action clamps having a flanged or straight mounting base with threaded holes for convenient & secure installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a straight line action clamp work?

A straight line clamp incorporates a sliding plunger to provide straight line clamping action. The plunger can be locked in either pulling or pushing direction for holding workpieces.

Which grease is recommended for use while rebuilding Destaco clamps?

Whenever you are handling the brand's mechanical clamps, we suggest using a coupling grease such as Mobil XTC. While dealing with pneumatic cylinder seals, the use of Magnalube G grease is recommended.

Do the brand's clamp handle colours mean anything?

No, Destaco clamp handle colours do not have any notable significance. The handles are coloured to help operators recognise where the operating handle is, and where it should be held onto while clamping workpieces.

Are Destaco clamp sensors water-resistant?

Destaco inductive sensors ensure protection against dust, heavy rain and powerful jets of water as they are designed in accordance with IP65 standards.

What other variants of spindles does Raptor Supplies offer?

In addition to hex head spindles, Raptor Supplies also offers Destaco swivel foot spindles, round bonded spindles and flat tip neoprene spindles to accommodate other Destaco clamps.
