Exhaust Fan 16 Inch, 230V

Dayton 16 inch exhaust fans are used to push out stale air and pull in fresh & clean air for better working environment. These fans have durable galvanised steel blades capable of handling large volumes of air at low static pressure and offer vertical & horizontal wall mounting options. They are designed with totally enclosed, air over motors and come with class B insulation. These Dayton exhaust fans offer better benefits over direct drive fans as they function more quietly and allow better control over fan speed. Choose from a wide range of these Dayton 16 inch exhaust fans, available in airflow velocities ranging from 950 to 12363 CFM on Raptor Supplies.

Features

  • Dayton direct-drive exhaust fans have a 1/4 hp motor that runs at speeds up to 1750 rpm.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between direct-driven and belt-driven fans?

  • In direct-drive exhaust fans, the fan propeller is connected directly to the motor's shaft, whereas belt-driven fans have a motor shaft connected to a pulley, which is further linked to a second pulley with a belt. This second pulley is connected to the shaft that drives the fan propeller.
  • Direct-drive fans have no power transmission loss because the propeller is directly connected to the motor shaft, whereas belt-driven fans experience power transmission loss due to friction between the belt, sheaves and drive shaft bearings.

What is the difference between ventilation and exhaust fans?

Ventilation fans help to bring fresh and clean air into a room or space, while exhaust fans remove dirty or polluted air from the same area.

What are the major factors to consider while choosing a direct-drive exhaust fan for my application?

  • Airflow (CFM)
  • Static pressure
  • Loudness limit
