Working Mechanism

  • These check valves work based on a spring-loaded poppet device.
  • When the fluid flows in the desired direction, it pushes the poppet valve open, allowing the fluid to pass through until the pressure drops.
  • When the flow tries to move in the opposite direction or stops, the spring in the check valve compresses and seals the poppet valve, thus preventing the flow of fluid.

Features

  • These NR Series pilot unloader check valves have brass construction with a reinforced PTFE poppet.
  • They come with a spring made of stainless steel for corrosion resistance.
  • These units offer 1/2 to 3/8 inch inlet / outlet sizes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of check valves in a gas engine?

Check valves prevent gases or fluids backflow and contamination in the piping or tubing.

How to maintain these check valves?

Maintenance for check valves involves regular inspection, cleaning and replacement of worn or damaged parts.

What is the difference between check valves and directional check valves?

Check valves allow the fluid flow in only one direction while preventing reverse flow. Directional check valves, on the other hand, control the direction of the liquid depending on the need of the system.

What is the difference between a check valve and a control valve?

Check valves allow flow in only one direction, while a control valve regulates the flow of fluid in both directions.

Why is filtration needed in check valves?

Filtered fluid reduces the risk of clogging the control valve, ensuring a smooth flow of fluid and maintaining constant valve performance.
