What is the difference between a hollow punch and an arc punch?

A hollow punch is used to create precise punching holes in flanged gaskets such as sheet metal or leather, whereas, an arch punch is a sharpened circular tube punch basically used for leatherworking applications. Both these punches perform almost the same functions and have sharp & fine cutting edges for cutting through gasket materials easily, along with removing stubborn nails, bolts & pins.

What is the difference between a dovetail punch and a hollow punch?

Dovetail punches are ideal for fabricating interlocked dovetail joints when the outside diameter of the gasket is larger than the width of the material to be cut. These units feature a padded rubber grip to offer maximum comfort during continuous operations. Hollow punches, on the other hand, are ideal for creating single-diameter holes (bolt holes) and dual-diameter rings (washers) in a single operation. They allow quick & precise hole-punching on flange gaskets.
