Nut handedness describes the way a nut's thread wrap around a shaft. Left-handed threads run counterclockwise, and right-handed threads run clockwise.

What are the differences between hex nuts and square nuts??

On the other hand, hex nuts can be installed in smaller spaces as they require only 60-degree wrench movement. Square nuts provide better protection against accidental loosening as compared to hex nuts. Square nuts usually cover a larger surface area to press against the object, thereby preventing their loosening.
