Eaton Bussman 1000 VAC fuses are designed in accordance with CE and UL standards to protect semiconductor components, such as diodes, silicon controlled rectifiers (SCRs), GTOs & IGBTs from overload damage. These high-speed fuses feature a fibreglass / ceramic body that facilitates enhanced thermal dissipation rates, thereby making them ideal for use in high current cycling environments. They are capable of delivering the lowest let-thru energy ratings, as compared to other branch circuit overcurrent protective device. The standard Class J dimensional configuration of these fuses allows them to be used in conjunction with fuse blocks, holders and switches. Offered in fuse amp ratings of up to 2000 A, these non-indicating fuses can also be used with an indicating fuse block / cover for identifying a blown fuse.

Bussmann high speed semiconductor fuses (Series KAC) are fast-acting, non-indicating semiconductor fuses which open instantly when exposed to overloads and short circuits. They are also called fast-blow semiconductor fuses and are extremely sensitive to changes in current flow and don't tolerate temporary overload currents or power surges. These semiconductor fuses are not provided with any indicator for identifying a blown fuse, so they are sometimes used with an indicating fuse block or cover.
