About Mip Rc Tools

MIP Tools catalogue comprises sealers, cutters, tensioners, combination tools, plastic strappings and strapping dispensers. MIP strapping cutters are used to chop off excess steel strapping, reducing injuries caused by sharp edges. The brand's steel strapping tensioners are used for tightening & packing steel products having widths ranging from 3/8 to 3/4 inches. These tensioners either require or do not require pre-threading applications, owing to push and snap-on seal specifications, respectively.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to tension steel straps?

Tools like strap tensioners are used to tension steel straps. The user should leave some strapping at the front of the tool. Then the tension lever should be released. Lastly, moving the tension lever back & forth tensions the strapping.

How to cut metal straps?

Strapping tools like duck-billed shears can be used for cutting steel strappings. Strappings should be cut squarely to prevent the formation of sharp pointed ends.

What types of seals are supported by MIP strapping sealers?

Snap-on, push-on, push-on & open and snap-on & open seals are supported by MIP heavy-duty steel strapping sealers.

What is the difference between open & closed-type seals used in strapping?

Open (Snap-On) seals are majorly applied on polypropylene straps and work primarily on flat surfaces. Closed (Push-On) seals are mainly used on steel straps for irregular or rounded objects. These closed seals are installed before tension is applied over the steel strap ends to keep them in line during tensioning.

What safety precautions should I follow when using these strapping sealers?

  • Carefully inspect the strapping sealer for any damage or wear before use.
  • Operate the tool in a well-lit and controlled environment.
  • Maintain a stable and balanced posture while using the sealer to prevent strains or falls.
  • Handle the tool with caution, avoiding sudden or excessive force.
  • Keep hands and body parts away from moving parts to prevent injuries.
  • Ensure the load being strapped is stable & positioned correctly.
  • Securely fasten the strapping in the tool and thread it through the snap-on seal.
  • Exercise caution when releasing strapping tension to avoid unexpected snaps.
  • Store the sealer in a designated and secure location when not in use.
  • Prevent unauthorised access to the tool, especially by children.
